Spadafora sulla ripresa del campionato, il Ministro per le Politiche Giovanili e lo Sport ha fatto il punto sulla situazione con una diretta Facebook. Di seguito, ecco riportate le sue dichiarazioni.

“Sento parlare di immobilismo, ma è assurdo. Il 4 maggio ripartono alcune cose, come l’attività fisica all’aperto e gli allenamenti degli sport individuali. Perché solo gli allenamenti degli sport individuali? A me sembra anche assurdo chiederlo. Dovevamo assicurare una ripartenza graduale e mi pare evidente, anche se c’è chi fa finta di non capire, che gli sport individuali richiedono l’impegno di meno persone e richiedono esigenze organizzative inferiori rispetto a quelle per gli sport di squadra”.
“Il 18 maggio ripartiranno gli sport di squadra, questo è il mio auspicio e stiamo lavorando per questo. Tra gli sport di squadra c’è ovviamente anche il calcio, ma possiamo provare a fare un ragionamento senza pregiudizi e senza che sia falsato da ogni tipo di condizionamento? Sarebbe più facile dire ‘Chiudiamo il campionato’, sarebbe quello che la stragrande maggioranza della comunità scientifica vorrebbe, ma so che il calcio è un elemento importante per il nostro Paese dal punto di vista sociale ed economico. Il business che produce il calcio finanzia gran parte dello sport e portarlo avanti sarebbe importantissimo, ma va fatto in massima sicurezza”.
“Voglio fare chiarezza sulle tante cose che si stanno dicendo sul mondo dello sport. Non dobbiamo fermarci ai titoli, dobbiamo contestualizzare. Stiamo parlando di un’emergenza sanitaria ed è questo il quadro all’interno del quale il Governo si sta muovendo. È una situazione straordinaria, una battaglia che non è ancora vinta. Il Paese riaprirà gradualmente e ci sono settori produttivi che stanno soffrendo moltissimo, cosa questa che porterà ad una crisi economica. Siamo in difficoltà ed è in questo quadro che ci sono le difficoltà e le aspettative del mondo dello sport”.
Spadafora sul protocollo per gli allenamenti della FIGC
“Ricordate cosa accaduto qualche settimana fa quando la Lega Serie A non si è voluta fermare? Quante squadre sono state costrette ad andare in quarantena? La FIGC ha presentato un protocollo per poter svolgere gli allenamenti in sicurezza che è stato preso in considerazione dal comitato tecnico-scientifico e si è ritenuto necessario fare degli approfondimenti. Nel più breve tempo possibile ci sarà un incontro e se si riuscirà a perfezionare il protocollo si riprenderanno gli allenamenti”.
“La cosa non vuol dire che necessariamente ripartirà il campionato e questo perché si dovrebbe ripartire a metà giugno e noi non siamo in grado di dire cosa accadrà fino ad allora. Non è terrorismo psicologico, semplicemente non lo sa nessuno, dipenderà dai dati. Sono ridicole le affermazioni di un complotto contro la Serie A ed è ridicolo chi dice questa cosa. È inutile, muovendo anche certa stampa, provare a fare pressione sul Governo. Io mi muoverò sempre nel rispetto delle regole”.
